Cam Battley stepped down from his position as chief corporate officer of Canada’s second-biggest cannabis company by revenue.
Aurora Cannabis confirmed Battley’s departure in a hasty Saturday afternoon press release.
The move was effective Dec. 20.
“We are grateful for Cam’s leadership and passion over his many years with Aurora. I am sure Cam will be successful as he moves on to tackle Australia,” Aurora CEO Terry Booth said in a statement.
Battley was appointed to the board of directors of MedReleaf Australia last month.
Aurora owns 10% of the Australian medical cannabis company.
Battley had been with Aurora since 2016.
