As dozens of alien enthusiasts mill around the Nevada desert, may we humbly suggest getting weird in your way — at home — with the help of these fine strains?
They came in peace, in weird costumes and are considering making an ill-advised run toward a large group of people with guns.
And it all started with a Facebook event that was meant to be a joke.
Matty Roberts created the Facebook event page “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us, telling people online, ‘We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Centre tourist attraction and coordinate our entry… We can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens’,” National Post reported in July.
What he was unaware of was how his call “to invade one of the most secretive and mysterious locations on Earth would become a rally cry.”
By late July, more than two million people had signed up to attend the event. The Air Force even ended up issuing an official warning, “reminding all would-be alien seekers that Area 51 is still off-limits to civilians, and that helicopters and military aircraft would be on hand to turn everyone back,” Vox reports.
And now, Storm Area 51 Day is finally upon us. As dozens of alien enthusiasts mill around the Nevada desert hoping to get a glimpse of something extraterrestrial, may we humbly suggest getting weird in your way — at home — with the help of these fine strains?
The origin of this strain is as mysterious as the military base itself, but there is no doubting the body high you can expect to experience. An evenly balanced hybrid, Area 51 will make you want to get out of the house and find some human interaction. The uplifting, tingling feeling it delivers will have you ready to face the unknown.
This classic strain’s mild psychedelic effects will help you free your mind as you contemplate life’s bigger questions. A cross between Las Vegas Purple Kush and Alien Dog, this mostly indica hybrid will elevate your mind before relaxing your body. Expect to feel happy and elated — perfect preparation for an alien encounter.
The high from this Indica-leaning-hybrid will hit you in a hurry. The cerebral sensation has been known to feel like one’s thoughts are speeding up, or that time itself is slowing down. Physical relaxation arrives with greater doses, making it a perfect remedy to the depression and anxiety that comes with the knowledge that we’re alone in the universe.
